What is ISIS

What is ISIS?
ISIS was created at IBM's Advanced Business Institute as a way to help large corporations objectively assess the condition of their current information systems environment, and to clearly quantify the benefits of new informational system purchases. A project's costs, benefits, return on investment, return on asset, and linkage to a company's business goals and strategic plans were all scrutinized by analytical tools and techniques used in the ISIS process.

In 1983 the ISIS model was licensed and fully enhanced/updated by Ruehle & Associates, Inc. Now it can help large and small businesses analyze, evaluate, justify, and prioritize investments in information systems and/or capital acquisitions. There are specific ISIS models geared to meet the needs of various industries, such as manufacturing, retail, distribution, and health care.

How can ISIS make your business more effective and profitable

Today's complex and economically tight environment demands that you make good, sound financial decisions that place you ahead of your competition. There's no room to buy expensive accounting software only to loose customers because it's impossible to run efficiently. And there's no room to buy costly equipment that may never produce a return on its investment. Those days are over.

That's where ISIS comes in. Using ISIS as a pro forma financial modeling tool lets you project six years into the future and determine the impact a decision today will have on your company's success tomorrow. Each project under consideration can finally be measured and rated using the same criteria. That gives you a level playing field to decide which project or acquisition has the most potential for success and which will further the goals of the company.

Plus - you can use the ISIS model exactly as you want. Take advantage of the whole system, or one or two steps in the process. Print out full color charts and graphs, so you can easily see the advantages and disadvantages of potential projects.

This system runs like a thoroughbred but is as reliable as a workhorse. Once you have used it, you'll wonder how you ever made decisions without ISIS.
